“It’s time, as worshipers of God, to give Him all we have. For when He is exalted, everything about me is decreased. So many times we stand in the way of really stepping into the secret place of worship with God. Just abandon tradition and the “expected” ways of Praise & Worship and get lost in the holy of holies with the sole intention of blessing the Father’s heart.”
-Jessica Leah Springer
It’s amazing how much passion and heart can be felt through a person’s music. Whether a voice, a guitar, or a drum circle overseas, this quote is certainly true. Sometimes there are no words to express how we feel, and music is one of many outlets for our emotions to be heard and understood, in times when we feel that we cannot possibly remain silent.
Worship is one of our outlets for conveying emotion to the One who created that passion inside of us. Though you may not have thought about it this way, our God is a PASSIONATE God, and we are created in His image. Which means somewhere, deep inside of you, there IS passion. Within our worship ministry here at Kessid Church, we will be growing a team of leaders who are committed to finding and developing their heart’s emotions and passions, in order to better serve you, our church, but more importantly in order to bring glory to our God and King. We will worship as a body, both in spirit and in truth, proclaiming His name and His faithfulness as passionately as we can!
Please contact Sean Batterberry for more information on how to get involved in our Worship Ministry at seanb@kessidchurch.com! We have a variety of ways to be involved, both for main services, and for Pillar Youth worship during their mid-week events.
“When we worship together as a community of living Christians, we do not worship alone, we worship ‘with all the company of Heaven.’”
