What is the City?
The City is a secure, and convenient way to electronically connect our church community. It allows for a pretty substantial personal profile page which also lets you do updates like on Twitter or Facebook. You can send messages to other City members, post comments on other people’s statuses and more. There’s a section for our calendar which is interactive, allowing people to RSVP, and make comments on the event. If you want to know about the different ministries, we have a section for ministry groups where you can find information specific to that ministry including the events, leader’s blogs, needs, prayer requests and more. You can break down the calendar by ministry groups also-like say if you want to know what’s going on in the Church Chess Club and not the Women’s Ministry, you can pick the groups you’re a part of or interested in. There’s a really cool feature that you can look up Bible verses and journal too. This can be made public or kept private. There are multiple privacy settings and alert settings so you won’t be getting email from us 24/7 (unless you really want too). Also, there’s a marketplace where you can post needs, or items for free/sale/borrow, and a place to post public prayer requests.

Is it easy to use?
I would have to say yes, more or less. If you already frequent sites like Facebook, then it will be easy. If you type with two fingers and don’t know your own email address, then it could take some practice.
